There will be two rehearsal sessions here at Wellington School, with the Wellington School orchestra. Members of our instrumental staff and professional musicians will work with the different sections of the orchestra, before putting it all together, under Mr Chris Sampson's capable baton. All this hard work will culminate in a concert in the Wellington School Great Hall on Sunday 15th October at 6.30pm.
This combined orchestra will be working on special bespoke arrangements of the music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek, Jurassic Park and the King’s Speech. Music will be sent to players in advance of the first Saturday rehearsal session.
The repertoire provides parts for the following instruments:
Violin, viola, ‘cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, percussion
If you would like to take part in the event, we would be grateful if you could email Mrs Amanda Baker by Friday 8th September 2017. Please include your your name, age, instrument and grade.
We look forward to a large, enthusiastic response!
